Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is looking for a motivated Junior EIT with a background in GIS and CAD to assist on Civil jobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting senior Engineering ad design staff on civil infrastructure projects.
Process project basemap and survey information including the creation of the existing ground DTM and conversion of project data between different coordinate systems. Prepare drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D including plans, profiles, typical cross-sections, spot elevations.
Filter and map GIS data, data conversion, data digitization/editing, geo-referencing, data mining, spatial geo-processing, and spatial analysis
Computation of design quantity take-offs and preparation of volume calculations and cut-fill plans from CAD drawings.
Communicate and work in an integrated team environment to ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
Transform point cloud data, concepts, and sketches into engineering drawings based on project requirements using AutoCAD / Civil 3D platform.
An undergraduate degree or a diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently with minimal oversight, take full responsibility for quality and efficiency of work, and coordinate with engineering managers and designers.
Ability to prioritize schedules and work on several projects at a time with multiple design teams.
Good communication skills along with excellent technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Experience with design CAD software (Bentley MicroStation V8, V8i or AutoCAD).
Ability to interpret and understand construction specifications and drawings.
Basic experience with QGIS or ArcGIS applications would be considered an asset.

Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is looking for General Labourers to join our team. This is a seasonal position. Position is 10-12 hours per day, 6 days a week and performs some or all of the following:
Building retaining walls, paving stone installation, concrete forming, underground utility installation and other types of civil work.
Operating small packers, shoveling, heavy lifting, etc.
Spread top-soil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees, perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures.
Class 5 license is mandatory.
Candidates must have own transportation (public transit is not available).

Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment.
Work with Service Manager to prioritize and review repair orders to meet field demands.
Perform all repairs in a timely manner.
Perform diagnostics and strategize repairs to maximize efficiency.
Perform quality repairs and verify repairs before equipment leaves the shop.
Perform equipment repairs and service on site when necessary.
Keep detailed and accurate service reports and documentation.
Promote and carry out Wilco Safety Procedures and documentation.
Journeyman Automotive Service (310s) Certification.
Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician.
Heavy Equipment Technician – Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (Off Road).
Heavy Equipment Technician – Truck and Transport Mechanic.
Minimum 5 years experience.
Experience with Ford and GM trucks considered an asset.

Ensure subcontractors compliance with specifications and timelines for their scope of work.
Responsible for training staff according to Wilco procedures and safe work practices.
